Wound Healing Salve - Body & Brows Micropigmentation/Tattoos.

10 MicroBalm Pillow Packs ( 5mls each) $2.60 each.

MicroBalm is used for every stage of conventional, cosmetic and/or para-medical tattooing.  MicroBalm provides optimal hydration, and creates a soft workable canvas for the artist to work.

As a pre- and post-care salve MicroBalm serves as an important tool for optimizing the outcome of tattoo treatments.  A100% natural formulation with a pleasant fragrance derived from all-natural ingredients, MicroBalm’s curative properties support the delicate healing process while maintaining the skin’s existing nutrients.  These elements foster exceptional wound care and provide a clean, stabilizing breathable barrier.  MicroBalm reduces itching and maintains moisture while it feeds the skin nourishment without clogging pores or leeching colour.

MicroBalm has been infused with hand-selected, fresh, natural and organic ingredients such as select herbs, oils, energy-packed chlorophyll, antioxidants and other key ingredients with anti-bacterial and hydrating properties which calm inflammation, soothe the skin and reduce the risk of infection.

Directions for use:  Wash hands thoroughly before each use, and do not to share salves. Use a sponge applicator or microbrush to apply.  Keep lid closed tightly when not in use.

Pre-Procedure: Apply a thin layer to treated area to keep skin soft and workable for optimal deposit of pigment.  Ideally, ask clients to begin this process about 3 days prior to treatment after some light exfoliation.

Post-Procedure:  Wait 6 to 19 hours to allow the wound to close, lock in pigment, and let tissue repair naturally initiate. Cleanse the area with cotton gauze soaked MicroTonic and then apply a thin layer of MicroBalm to the treated area.

For oilier skin types (face only) initial use should be at 6 hours post-procedure and there should be no further application after 24 hours.

For drier skin types (face) a small amount (roughly the size of a grain of rice) should be applied 2 to 3 times a day for the first 7 to 14 days of recovery.

For body art, use of MicroBalm can continue as long as needed.

MicroBalm is free from lanolin, petroleum, and synthetic ingredients.  It is scented only with essential oils of lavender, chamomile, lemon and orange.

Essential oils have been used throughout history in herbal medicine to prevent infection and promote healing, and these oils and other ingredients have been carefully selected for their protective and supportive qualities. All ingredients are specially selected for their contribution to healing.  Our product is hand-crafted in Canada to the highest standards.  MicroBalm is incredibly versatile and has been shown to aid a variety of skin irritations and irregularities based on case reports collected from international trials*.

As with any new product, it is good practice to ‘spot-test’ before using on a fresh tattoo.

Here is an overview of some of the key ingredients:

Hemp oil
Hemp oil is perfect for most skin types as it can moisturize without clogging your pores. It can even help to balance out oily skin, hydrating it and regulating the skin's oil production. Anti-inflammatory, high in amino acids which is known to aid in healing many skin irregularities.

Wounds. Propolis
Wounds. Propolis has a special compound called pinocembrin, a flavonoid that acts as an antifungal. These anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties make propolis helpful in wound healing. One study found that propolis can help people who have had traumatic burns heal faster by speeding up new healthy cell growth.

Calendula
Calendula oil has antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that might make it useful in healing wounds, soothing eczema, and relieving diaper rash. It's also used as an antiseptic.

The Arnica
The Arnica plant is known for its healing properties. It can be applied to the skin in order to heal bruises more quickly, soothe inflammation, ease muscle pain, and even alleviate stiffness caused by arthritis or other joint injuries.

Beeswax carries antivira
Beeswax carries antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that are essential in fighting chapped skin and bacterial infections that tend to affect us most in the dry, winter months. It forms a protective wall by sealing in moisture in our skin without smothering and clogging up the pores.
