EyeAid Orbital Salve Product Description

This product from the Membrane line addresses one of the most important and specialized treatment areas — the eyes. Many tattoo artists don’t understand how to treat the eyes because they’re mucous membranes, not just another area of skin. With the risk of clogged tear ducts from synthetic products and infection or even corneal burns from concentrated essential oils, using a natural formula specifically designed for the eyes’ delicate tissue is integral to supporting cell rejuvenation. EyeAid Healing Salve provides a light, breathable barrier that promotes healthy inflammatory responses following micropigmentation procedures around the eyes.

Every ingredient in our EyeAid Orbital Salve has been selected based on its benefit to the unique needs of the eyes, including sea buckthorn fruit, chamomile, plantain, and sunflower seed extract. These all-natural fruits and oils minimize the risk of irritation that occurs with comedogenic products, while enhancing skin hydration and barrier health. It’s our responsibility to provide our clients with the best formulas tailored to their needs. Membrane EyeAid Orbital Healing Salve is suitable for all skin types.

Membrane Post Care is also dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint as much as possible. As such, our EyeAid Healing Salve pillow packs were designed with eco-friendliness in mind and are 100 percent biodegradable. By purchasing our products, you’re not only caring for your skin, but for Mother Earth as well.

DIRECTIONS:

Post eyeliner tattoo: Apply after the first six hours, as micropigmentation procedures need time to begin healing on their own. Place a small amount of product (about the size of a grain of rice) on a clean cotton swab or microbrush and apply gently to the eyelid area following micropigmentation, microneedling, or plasma lift procedures. This salve may also be used lessen dry skin around the eye. Continue use for 21 to 28 days. Gel eye drops can be used in the first six hours immediately post-procedure.

NOTE: One button jar is for two applications post-micropigmentation, initial procedure, and 30- to 90-day follow-up.

Every ingredient we use is beneficial, and here are a few:

  • Calendula: Calendula oil, extracted from marigold flowers, targets foreign invaders and promotes skin barrier health.
  • Sea buckthorn: Traditionally, sea buckthorn has been used for centuries to enhance skin health. Rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and carotenoids, sea buckthorn oil enhances skin hydration while fighting free radicals and oxidative stress.
  • Sunflower oil: Sunflower oil supports ample hydration, locking in moisture while minimizing the risk of clogged pores. Vitamin A, B, C, D, E, and K help promote a healthy skin barrier and rejuvenation.

Customer Testimony

An EyeAid button jar goes an incredibly long way and I have clients who use what remains after their procedure to treat their lashes after lash lift and tint, as well as between lash extension applications---so often we forget to tend to our eyelashes! As a breathable barrier I find that EyeAid is particularly effective for clients who are in and out of cold and warm environments...for example in colder climates, going and in and out of doors, but even in warmer ones when you go from a warm outside to an air conditioned inside. These temperature changes affect the skin and eyes will often tear up. I am always concerned that too much tearing after a treatment before the full healing is complete may impact retention. Therefore, my aftercare always involves having clients cleanse their eyeliner area and very lightly apply EyeAid---more often if they are outdoors a lot. EyeAid also helps with itching which is a necessary part of healing but I don't want my clients impulsively rubbing their eyes. EyeAid in your eyeliner after care kit with some microbrushes (I avoid cotton in case any strands stick to the area or get in the eye) and careful instructions for use is my standard for take home.
